Dr Papanaoum is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and completed her physician training, specialising in infectious diseases and pathology training in Adelaide. She has past and current appointments as consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. Dr Pananaoum has interests in general microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, infection after orthopaedic / general surgery, infections in immunocompromised hosts and ICU, infection control, HIV and viral hepatitis.
